I adopted my cat at the request of my vet. She had been hit by a car, and had head/brain trauma which left her blind. Because no one wanted to adopt a blind cat, she lived there in a cage for almost two years, and was used as a blood donor, and had to be sedated each time this was done. Needless to say, when I met her, she was completely shut down in every way. After I brought her home, time passed, and she began to feel somewhat safe, her anxiety/fear began to emerge because she felt safe expressing it? and she would bite me if i tried to interact with her at all.
