Extremely unprofessional when accusing someone of stealing but management is okay with it. I had gone in to buy a cart and was told by the cashier that I had to pay for what I had stolen before buying anything, that they had proof of me stealing. I ask to see it and I’m shown a printed screenshot of someone who did look like me because their face was turned away from the camera. I plead and tell them I understand it looks like me but I can easily prove it’s not. The whole time the cashier is shaking his head and rolling his eyes as he tries harassing me into admitting I did it and paying for it. I asked to pull up the tape of when this incident occurred and to just get me the date and time. As it’s being pulled up he wants to “push past this real quick and finish up that order”. ??? What makes you think I would hand over my money after the way you just accused and treated me??? I stepped off to the side to wait for the evidence before the manager steps in and apologized for the misunderstanding after looking over the tape, clearing up that it wasn’t me. And while thankful, I also asked for an apology from the cashier for his misconduct. The manager refused, not only condoning the behavior but telling me that I should be satisfied with the apology I was given and to stop complaining cause I wasn’t getting an apology from the cashier. He seemed frustrated that I wasn’t satisfied after that and told me that because of my attitude, I lost a discount he was gonna give me. And when I told him I didn’t care for a discount, I cared about an apology and accountability from his staff, he seemed upset that I didn’t care for his business. Who would?
