Love it. I was an employee for a couple years (but not anymore) and I have to say, it's not only a great place to shop, but was a great place to work as well. They handpick every brand they sell, and there are things you can't find anywhere else (like Hope Hummus!!) The desserts are amazing(like the vegan chocolate cake, banana cake, and the pumpkin cake, which were my wedding cakes!!) and there's just so much attention to detail put into this business, from the salad bar to the supplement selection. I know some things can be expensive in comparison to safeway or fred meyer, but it's worth the money knowing everything is highest quality!!

I love Marlene's. My go to store for a variety of things. The two best stores for me are Marlene's and Trader Joe's. Always clean, always the very best customer service and fantastic workers. A pleasure to shop there. A little more spendy than an average grocery / produce / health foods store, But Worth It.

It's a whole new world upstairs.
Marlene’s Market and Deli is like a grocery store that sells natural food with a restaurant right inside of it. I have been to Marlene’s many times before but never realized there’s a deli upstairs. Glad I asked an employee downstairs about the fresh baked goods, and she directed me upstairs. All this time I thought upstairs is only for employees. That's not the case and I have pictures to prove it :)
Boy, they got a salad bar, sandwich, and deliciously baked goods! There's plenty of seating for customers as well. Be sure to check it out the next time you're at Marlene’s Market & Deli.

I was shopping at Marlene’s on 05/12/24. This employee in the picture posted below name is Tracy. As I was shopping on one of the aisle, Tracy decides to hover around me and monitor me as I shop and look around. As soon as I leave the aisle, Tracy leaves the aisle. The assumption is another person of color she must be getting ready to steal. I have been shopping at Marlene’s since I was little girl and have never had such disgusting experience. Hopefully Tracy can develop the ethics and awareness for her own personal being that not everybody of color steals.
