I will not shop at the CVS on Soquel and Front Street again. The last three times I shopped there I was treated as if they believed that I was a shoplifter. I was living downtown at the time, and there really is not another store of the type, so I did frequent that business quite often (also I was bored because of Covid, so I would go to see what was on sale). One night, two employees, who had seen me make frequent costly purchases, approached me and told me that I had been banned from their store for theft and told me to leave. They said that I was recorded by their security cameras while stealing. I informed them that they had mistaken me for someone else and asked to see the recording. Of course , they refused. I also told them that I do not steal and that they knew me as their customer. They negated knowing me. Then, they watched as I put back every item that I had intended to purchase, and walked out. I returned to the store. This time I was shopping for lipstick. The security guard, after following me around the store, as he always has since he began working there, came over to me and asked if I needed his help in finding something. I responded by asking him if he could recommend a good matte color to match my natural lip color. Then I expressed my frustration and discomfort his "surveillance" caused me and asked him to please allow me to shop in the store without being followed and not to approach me again. If I am going to purchase an item, I actually shop what is available and try to choose the best option for me. And I DO look at everything offered. Sometimes it takes a while to do that. I should not be forced to rush into a purchase just to prove that I am not stealing. Especially something that I am not able to "test" or "try on", like make-up. This time, one of the employees who had accused me came over, and so nicely took the things that I had already decided on up to the register so that I could be more comfortable, helped me to choose the perfect shade, and very politely rang up the sale. Again, I returned to CVS, was followed and approached by the same security guard, and he again asked if he could help me to find what I needed. I asked him why he always asked me that. He answered that it was his job to do so. I told him that he was a security guard, and not a salesman, that he was harassing me every time that I shopped there and I was not going to allow it to continue.

My favorite CVS store in Santa Cruz. I adore the people who work there Gem is a joy and a hard worker Michelle has been there for a long time and works very hard and is also very nice. The new edition Emerson is a promising addition pleasant and caring. My only negative comment is I think a couple of the managers or assistant managers might try and occasional smile in the store, they always seem to be trap around in a funk Enough said, steal my favorite store

We are always welcomed with a greeting and a smile. We have been shopping at the Mission St location for at least 16 years. We have always been satisfied with the efficiency and professionalism that we have experienced there.

Better than some but the line to Pick up rx is always atrocious late morning-evening.

Not a single shopping cart. Long wait for a lone cashier. 5 pm weekday! We are switching to Amazon Pharmacy.
