I’m an out of state MED patient and went through the process of getting a temp Hawaii MED card - overall easy and worth it to legally and safely obtain MEDs. I did search this location out over all else due to selection and reviews.. I also work in the industry back in Maine so am quite familiar with products, processes and procedures. I purchased two 3.5g flower portions and 1 “live resin” cart. First off: the customer service and people here are super friendly. The walked me through their product offerings and helped explain how things work here in Maui (A lot different then Maine). The gifted me a complementary hat which was a very nice gesture that did not go unnoticed. Secondly: for flower I took the dealers choice at “top shelf” for their recommendation. The cannabis burned fine, tasted ok and effects were just fine. Overall very unimpressed with the servings, each 3.5 consisted of about 10-15 smalls. In my biased, humble opinion that should have never made it through QC into packaged flower but should have been used for pre rolls. I think this is a naive- young market that just doesn’t know better. Third: the vape cart I purchased was their most expensive offering at about $80 for a .5g live res cart, Matunuska ATF. I was HIGHLY unimpressed with this product for it was most certainly FECO raw Co2 oil not live resin. It was black in color. If I’m fact it’s was live resin multiple things were done poorly in the extraction process, and should never have cost $80+ after tax. Review in short: Unlike back home where you can see a visual representation of all products before you buy, here I could see nothing so I took the advice of the budtenders. Had I known the cart was of that quality I would have never purchased that product, back home said products are transparent golden yellow in color, with high terps and cost $40-$55 .5g. Again, here I feel like as a customer, and patient I was taken advantage of. MED markets in the end are here for the patients, not to financially capitalize on deceiving. Had I known that about that cart I would have just bought cheap distillate. CS: 7/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 Flower: 5/10 Cart: 3/10 Price: 5/10 It’s a bummer to see these young, new markets take advantage of customers. Hopefully Maui Grown acknowledges these shortcomings to improve for the future for their patients. Kindly, Sam.
