Stopped by Flower Power after a show at Lincoln Center and let’s just say... the performance didn’t end there. This place is classy — like, “weed in a tuxedo” classy. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a budtender who knew more about terpenes than I know about my own family. They had me laughing, learning, and leaving with a bag full of green happiness. The flower? Fragrant. Fresh. Basically a bouquet that hugs your brain. The prerolls? Let’s just say I took one before a walk through Central Park and ended up bonding with a squirrel. Deeply. Emotionally. It’s like Tavern on the Green met the Metropolitan Opera House and decided to open a dispensary. Highly recommended for anyone who wants their weed with a side of charm and zero judgment. Lincoln Center gives you culture — Flower Power gives you bliss.

The moment you arrive the security guard opens the door for you with a very friendly smile and manner. It should be said that he does the same on the way out. The store itself has a nice vibe, and the selection is solid in terms of variety and quality. And in fairness to the staff, I have found them to be largely friendly, and at least half of them are knowledgeable. The truth is however, the ratio between friendly & knowledgeable and passive-aggressive & and not as knowledgeable, has moved firmly into the latter camp. I have spent a lot of money in this place, and I have also referred friends or brought then with me to check the place out. But increasingly, if there are ever one or two occasions where I'm not ordering fast enough to their liking or I'm not spending a king's ransom on product, the friendliness of some staff goes into sharp decline. There's also been an increasing trend in upselling. Bottom line, (and the reason for this review) I'm tired of walking out of this place feeling like I offended the seller when I am the customer being left with a sense of ick. Given the neighborhood this place is in (the rent can't be cheap) coupled with the fact of how many dispensaries there are across the city now, if this trend continues, I don't know how long they are going to stay open. My advice to potential customers, if you're in the hood and you want to get something, go for it, but you should probably order ahead of time online. Or just avoid and go somewhere else. Housing Works is great.

Fun staff with no pressure or weird sales tactics. Consider Silly Nice, a minority and veteran owned brand, for your shelves.
