They even helped me with a question regarding the new dog licensing process since the place I used to get them no longer sells them.

Clean store with lots of varieties that we're used to at the other Concord Pet stores! Manager is extremely helpful and willing to order an item that may not be in stock at this location. Glad to have them locally here in Pottstown!

Price gouging. Walmart sells the same bag of dog food for $28 that I just paid $42 for! Bags of Blue Buffalo that are normally $65 are $109. Prices are ridiculously high for no reason. The bag I purchased averages around $30 per bag. No more than $30 and sometimes as low as $25. And if they excuse is they don’t buy as much as Walmart, ok well Giant Food doesn’t buy very much dog food and they sell the same bag for $28. Just don’t waste your money at this place.

BUYER BEWARE I want to warn others regarding the extreme lack of customer support that was shown by the management team to a very loyal and supportive customer of over 15 years. I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the past 15+ years at all the Concord stores. Probably over $100 dollars a month for 15 years. Do the math. We recently were getting a new rescue dog after a small break following the passing of my prior pup, and proceeded to purchase multiple toys, bags of treats and a 23 lb bag of food which was $93 alone. Unfortunately, the dog adoption fell through due to no fault of ours (it was very upsetting) and we wished to return the few things that were unopened and untouched (anything we opened or removed tags we did not try to return even though never used). Unbeknown to us, they have the most RIDICULOUS return policy whereas a receipt is needed EVEN IF USED A CREDIT CARD AND EASILY ABLE TO LOOK UP, and if you have a receipt you can only get a store credit. If no receipt (even if used a credit card) you are not able to return. We no longer had a receipt as to be honest, we did not think we needed to keep it because the rest of the world does not require a receipt if using a credit card in this day and age. I reached out to customer service To explain the situation in hopes that I could at least get a store credit for when we eventually get another dog (as the toys may be too big depending on the size). While I did receive an initial response that a manager would be in touch, that manager never reached out after multiple follow ups over a month period. This return policy seems almost unethical and unheard of to be honest of any store I’ve ever purchased anything from with a credit card. Very very very disappointed in not only the return policy but also how this situation was handled and the lack of customer service and response for a customer who has spent almost $20,000 over the years to support their business. In the age of chewy and all these other online Stores that I could easily get food, toys and trees delivered right to my door, I always chose to support their business which I will no longer do (nor will I recommend to rescues, friends and family). Do better, Concord Pet. Do the right thing by your customers and as a business. Very disappointing.
