This shop is great. People are very helpful and gracious.

The older woman who works here is incredibly curt and rude, even by Chinese standards. I absolutely avoid coming here unless absolutely necessary -- I'll take a detour to the ID if possible just to avoid this place and avoid getting barked at by the woman in question. If you speak Cantonese, I'd highly suggest doing so here, as you'll get treated better than if you speak English or Mandarin. Mandarin speakers who've been to Hong Kong know what type of treatment I'm talking about. The last time I was here, I tried telling her that I needed 5 parts of one ingredient to 1 part of another, and she assumed that I was telling her that I needed her to repackage it 5:1 rather than that I needed 5 *times* one ingredient to the other. (She was only grabbing two of everything I needed at a 1:1 ratio.) Her answer to me was that it was "你家的事", which is a rude way of saying "it's your problem." (It's a way of saying it that's not as overt as "it's your f-ing problem," but carries with it the same attitude and spirit.) The second she said that, I dropped it, as I she obviously didn't want to make 5x the profit as much as I didn't want to give her 5x more of my hard-earned dollars. My tab final tab totaled over $100, so it was her loss. When I realized that I forgot to purchase ginseng, I went to the 99 Ranch Market next door rather than deal with her again, and when I came back out, I saw them closing up shop. She may have been annoyed because I came in close to closing. Regardless, I still spent less than 10 minutes in the store and I was not the last customer in the shop Incredibly rude. Incredibly crass. Foul mouthed, and even fouler attitude. Even my husband who doesn't understand any Chinese asked me what the hell her problem was.

I shopped there twice and people there are so nice. The supplement they sell feels amazing and works.

Everyone is always kind and knowledgeable. I love how the doctor knows exactly what issues you are having just by examining you. The herbs are nasty and taste like dirt! But it works and I prefer it over drugs medical doctors try and push upon you.
