Absolutely LOVED Boulder Creek and everything about it!!!! A true hippy town, and Wild Roots was the penultimate hippy store! I don't mean "hippy" in a unprofessional or unclean manner; quite the opposite! Great food choices and really cool people! The prices are dizzying, but that's to be expected in a small, remote town. This was not price gouging, but the price to pay for getting food in paradise!

Cute store, very high quality items. Find something new everytime I come in. Good selection of beer as well 👌

I apologize for the fact that I've not been back to the joint since the mid-90s, but I do remember that I used to Love that place when I lived in Boulder Creek, always was in Santa Cruz Davenport area, acoustic Christmas in San Jose, I once upon a time used to consider California one of the Greatest Places, nowadays I don't know what to say...

Small produce section, but fresh, in season and easy access- front of store, nothing between me, door and register to distract me! Some high end chocolates and such, but nothing I can't resist now 👍 Helpful staff, locals, small community so easy to order things I need. It's my go to store.

I love this store. The attention to detail is amazing. I appreciate the hand made items, the crafts. I love America made products but also appreciate something made in the Amazon to support a small group of people living off the land or say a tribe or group in Africa or Nepal. I also appreciate the butcher counter. (I do try to shop when Cade is working because one of the other managers whos gone now never stocked the meat counter..Cade makes up new cuts...keeps the selection fresh and stocked..there's another couple of butchers that are pretty good too..just glad the one guy is gone..he was really rude sometimes and lazy with the stocking.. often no ground beef, no flap meat, no rib eyes, no new York steaks.. nothing.. lol) I'm a recovering vegan and so high quality nutrient dense meat is very important to me. I want to eat the best so I appreciate the amount of effort the buyers put in to the quality in this entire store. I love the fresh herbs too and the attention given to keeping things fresh. I'm a foodie and spend a lot of money on food. May as well be top quality. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
