I always relied on NG for supplements, but will limit what I buy from the company in future. Just spent over $30 for one supplement for my elderly father, just released from the hospital. Come to find that the store does not accept returns or exchanges without a receipt any longer. Because the store was close to closing I rushed out of there and wasn’t given a receipt. Now I’m stuck with a pill the size only a horse could swallow (not an elderly person) and out the money along with no solution for my dad. Frustrating also because of all the time I spent researching and comparing labels to find the best one. This particular multi (New Chapter) does not list the size on the package so there’s no way to tell how large the tablets are except these state “easy to swallow” on the box, which they are not. Just seems like the policies, attitudes of being helpful and kind, are changing at this store.

Had a very bad experience with the asst Mgr name Jake. He definitely does not have world class customer service. He couldn't even ring up a bag that I was trying to purchase. As a manager you should be able to ring up a simple bag for me to purchase.

Disappointing Customer Service at the Lafayette Location I’ve always had great experiences shopping at the Longmont Natural Grocers, so I was surprised by the poor customer service at the Lafayette store. A few days ago, I purchased a jar of organic almond butter. When I opened it, it was clearly rancid—something I’ve never encountered with this brand before. I couldn’t remember which store I bought it from, so I brought it to the Lafayette location to exchange it. The cashier was unhelpful and repeatedly asked for a receipt, which I didn’t have, as I’ve never had issues before. The store manager, Erik, also insisted they couldn’t help me without one. While still in the store, I checked my Natural Grocers app and realized I had purchased it at the Longmont location. I called them, and they told me to bring it in—no receipt required. Before leaving the Lafayette store, I asked about Delicata squash, which I had just bought from the Longmont store the previous week. The produce worker bluntly told me, “It’s not available yet.” When I mentioned I had just gotten it from Longmont, his response was simply, “Well, not at my store.” The overall attitude at the Lafayette location felt dismissive and unhelpful. I left feeling very disappointed. I’ll be sticking with the Longmont store from now on, where the service is always excellent.

A great little store. No… a fantastic little store. Very helpful book section for healthy eating and medicinal herds and vitamins. They also SELL BEER! Health food beer? Yes. And thanks for helping find my phone!
