not happy with this store. i made a purchase of one vitamin they had in stock, and went to pick it up after work but the store was closed so the employee could have lunch. instead of waiting the remaining 30 minutes of their lunch i went home. i patiently waited for a notification of my order being ready, and checked to find out that it was cancelled. i also got no notification that it was cancelled. i called and was told that the order never arrived. i feel that having my purchases just shipped to me would be easier, i don't like how i have to pay more for that. this isn't the first time i had to wait for the employee to return from lunch.

The service at this store has gotten worse over the past several years. Today it was intolerable. I went in, not a person there except for one male clerk talking to another male about football. The clerk made eye contact but did not greet me or ask if I needed assistance. I went over and selected my favorite soy protein and brought it over to the check out counter. The clerk still talking, now about trucks, standing at the end of the check out counter looks right at me, with my two jars of whey protein on the counter. He does not ask if I'm ready to check out, just turns away and continues to gossip. After a minute or so I think I don't need this, and start to walk out. He just watches me walk out without saying a thing. What is this, is it just total incompetent and non-caring? Did he not think I needed service because I'm elderly? Or because I was wearing a US Air Force hat does he not like veterans? I'm have writen corporate. If I don't get an explanation and an apology, I'm considering filing an age discrimination complaint. NEVER AGAIN AT VITAMIN SHOPPE

Dear Vitamin Shoppe, I wanted to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for the exceptional service I received from the clerk who helped me on Saturday. I had just been to the vet in an emergency on Friday, where I was told that my beloved dog was going to die because I did not have $2500 to buy a specific medicine and hospitalize them. I was devastated and felt hopeless. However, after researching all night, I found a couple of things that could potentially help my dog and had a few questions. When I called your store, he listened intently and immediately asked how he could help. I explained my situation, and he dropped everything to assist me. He answered all my questions perfectly and provided me with valuable information on the products that could potentially save my dog's life. He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable, which gave me the confidence I needed to purchase the products. Thanks to His exceptional service, my dog's life has been saved, and I owe it all to him. I cannot thank him enough for his kindness, empathy, and professionalism. He went above and beyond to help me during a difficult time, and I will always be grateful for his assistance. First time I went in the store was a Tuesday and I asked if they had veterans discount and the lady said yes we do but only on Mondays. I told her that I normally can’t make it in on Mondays and she’s like that’s OK. Just come in and tell us that your veteran will take care of you no matter what day it is and that worked a few times. They have products that I like there, I went in there two weeks and I heard the manager telling one of the workers something about VA discounts and to tell me something but whatever it was he never told me, but he was hesitant to give me a discount. Then I went in there yesterday, which was Memorial Day And Monday and they were closed, so I came back today. So I came back today, Tuesday and the guy told me discounts only on Mondays so I told them that I would Find another vitamin store That would give me a veteran discount.

Store hours are posted as closing at 8:00. Arrived at 7:30 to find a hand written sign stating closed early due to staffing issue. I recommend calling ahead to make sure someone is there.
