I frequently visit. There a is a black family vibe that I love about the place. I ask questions and get answers. I've even asked questions about pricing and they weren't even rude. The Father is quiet, protective. The mother is helpful and attentive, the children are happy and on the lucky occasion I get to see the dogs, they greet me as well. I've been coming since about 2020, 2021. There have been changes like the door thing, or the phone thing people mention. I suspect the policies have changed to protect themselves and their family. But the they have signs that tell you to knock now, and the open sign let's you know they are still there. The quality and quantity of variety as improved and grown. I don't agree with the trap house comments. The vibes are very much like going to a cousin's house.

So the reviews about lacking customer service are spot on. The owners can’t possibly be from TX. They have absolutely no sense of customer service or hospitality. Place is ran like a trap house. Locked doors during business hours, pit bulls, dirty floors, and the owner talks to the customer like you are inconveniencing him. Like you are interrupting his day or something.
