Border Station

Have no idea what has happened here. Bathrooms are disgusting. Store is in complete disarray. It’s like they are going out of business. We used to love stopping here on the way to OBX and then hit Southland on the way back. Kind of sad because it used to be nice. We just left and went to southland. It’s fine for just gas.

We have been stopping at the Border Station for years before and after multiple trips a year to the OBX. This will be our last stop. The ladies room was filthy. All the toilets, except one, were dirty, none of them were flushed and they all had pee and/or poo in them. The one toilet stall that was clean, had a broken latch, so unless you can pee and hold the door closed, you were out of luck. One of the soap dispensers was pulled off the wall, and the other one didn't dispense any soap. According to my spouse, the men's room was also vile. And he normally doesn't complain.
The 9 oz bag of chips we bought was 6$! There were no more than 6 customers in there at the time, so there's no excuse for the place being so filthy. It used to be a guaranteed clean, reasonable place to stop to use the restroom and get a drink and a snack, but now, nope. Just keep driving.
