I purchased two bottles of vitamins and when I got home, I realized that one had been opened. I counted the contents and saw one was missing. I went back to the store to explain and to simply exchange the bottle for one that was sealed and was told I could not do so without a receipt. I said I did not get a receipt and all I wanted to do was exchange it. I was still told no. I asked then, if I could produce the credit card statement showing I had made the purchase, would that work and was told yes. When I returned the next day with that proof of purchase printed out from my credit card company, I was told I could not exchange the bottle without a receipt. I said all I wanted was an exchange and not any refund but was turned away. In fact the person I spoke with was quite rude and refused to answer my question of whether or not she would exchange the bottle. In fact she told me I was being rude. Frankly, I was flabbergasted at the lack of customer service as I have been a customer of this store for many years. It was clear this time that I would not be able to get the exchange. This store has gone downhill over the years; at least 30% of the shelves are COMPLETELY empty, bins are empty leaving me to wonder if what is in the bins is even fresh. The fact that the store would not simply EXCHANGE this open $39 bottle of vitamins was a total surprise and clear evidence of the lack of customer service. Unless this is remedied, this store has just lost a customer.
