So today was my first time ever going to an herbalist... and omg my mind is blown! I will definitely be back I will definitely send people to the shop. It was a fantastic and amazing experience that was so expensive and truthfully who would’ve thought that A tea could do that. But it’s exactly what I needed at the right time 🙏🏻🦄

While strolling around Berkeley, a friend and I popped into this shop. It ended up being the best part of our day! We chatted with the owner for quite some time, and he taught us all about what he does in his shop. We were able to see his soap he had just made, and he told us about his beekeeping. He has such a kindred spirit and is passionate about healing. I really look forward to going again!

My friend and I stumbled across this place today…and OH MY what a lovely hidden gem! The owner was so incredibly knowledgable and kind. He even went the extra mile and offered tips/suggestions for candle making with essential oils and spices. What an educational and fun visit. Thank you!

Alembique is one of the Bay Area’s special places. It is a place of healing and camaraderie. The owner will spend time explaining how herbs in various forms address your specific concerns. And, that delicious honey from their rooftop hives!
Alembique is a magical, old-fashioned apothecary promoting herbal wisdom in the modern world.

It's a neighborhood shop and it has the vibe that goes with that. It's super cute and full of all sort of delights. The owner is a wealth of knowledge across the subjects and extremely kind. you walk in and he and /or whenever is there welcomes you like an old friend. The other apothecaries around here that I've been too and are stores and your another customer. Here if you want it can feel like family and you can ask any questions without pretense. They do workshops that are small groups and bigger groups with the guest speakers in the back patio. I've been completely satisfied with every purchase there from the best tea I've ever had (Rose cardamom) to the herbs which are usually local, organic or wild harvested when appropriate. The hydrosols and the handmade face creams etc fabulous as well . No complaints. Tip: closed mondays!
