Our visit to this store was pleasant, and friendly staff were eager to help us find exactly what we were looking for. The selection of books in this store is full of useful, practical knowledge, meticulously organized and lightly scented with the subtle hints of incense. Lots of very interesting other items here too- ritual implements, sculptures, and an array of other compelling goods that you're unlikely to see anywhere else. Worth the trip- parking's in the back. We'll be back soon!

Back in 2007, I visited your store with my dad. Later, during a challenging time in my life, I decided to have a tarot card reading. It was my first and only reading, and it turned out to be quite significant. The reader predicted that I would be moving, having a baby, and experiencing other life-changing events in the next few years. To my surprise, about a year later, I discovered I was pregnant after struggling for 5 years to do so. Additionally, I ended up moving to the other side of the country, just as the reader had predicted. Visiting your store always brings back these amazing memories!

I have loved Magus books since the day Roger opened the original Dinkytown location, but now here we are many years later and under new ownership and a new location and I can only say that "so far so good!" I have not had the pleasure of meeting the new owners as of yet but I can say that the employees I've had the chance to meet were friendly and VERY helpful even as the clock ticked close to closing time they gave us a warm customer service experience. As well as being undoubtedly the best place to find books and information on any number of occult topics you can also find many magical gifts, tools, trinkets, and charms. Some or these items are novelty while many of them are truly the real thing that you will find the serious practitioner very satisfied to have been welcomed into a place of such warmth and knowledge for the many who have found themselves through the doors to Magus Books! I almost forgot to mention that they have probably the largest and BEST selection of incenses, a wide variety of bulk herbs, and lots of candles, jewelry, essential oils, tools of the trades, wonderful variety of Art, and they are also one of the few places whom carry a wide variety of a special medicinal plant known commonly as Kratom. If you have never been to Magus Bookstore , well what are yo waiting for?! This is the place you have been looking for (or my guess is, you wouldn't still be reading this review :-) ) I'm sure they will great you with a smile and just as they have always been helpful to me, I'm sure they will be happy to help you with your specific needs as well!
