I selected an item priced at $49.99, but upon giving it as a gift, discovered a significant and unattractive imperfection on it, resembling damage or melting.

When I attempted to return the flawed item, I was informed that the store has a strict no-refund policy, only allowing exchanges for items of equal or greater value, with the latter requiring an additional payment despite earlier promises of discounts. Specifically, I was offered a 25% discount on a more expensive item as part of this exchange, yet upon completing the transaction, I found that no discount had been applied, resulting in me paying the full price for the replacement.
